Sammy Zammit is the owner of Thin Air Productions. He is a videographer, certified drone pilot, ReOC holder with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and Outdoor Adventure Guide.

Sammy’s background is in the arts and cultural sector. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from the National Art School, Sydney and a MA in Art Curatorship from the University of Sydney.

Prior to becoming a videographer, drone pilot and adventure guide, Sammy worked as a curator of contemporary art and was the General Manager of a fine art logistics company that specialised in the transport and storage of works of art and high value goods.

About

Sammy’s passion for videography and droning was born from his interest in photography. Frustrated that he couldn’t quite capture the angle he was looking for when shooting his climbing buddies on their projects, Sammy decided to buy a drone. Once his perspective changed, there was no turning back!

Sammy specialises in producing creative visual content for real estate in and around his home of the Blue Mountains, general aerial photographic and video services, short film productions, documenting functions and events, and doing just about anything that marries his passion for adventure and the outdoors with videography.

Safety is of utmost importance to us at Thin Air Productions. All of our aerial operations and productions are conducted with strict adherence to CASA regulations. Job Safety Assessments are conducted prior to each flight, as are comprehensive risk assessments
where required.

Air Time

This is the fun part! Once we’ve confirmed a day where the weather’s good and we’ve got all the clearances that we require to fly, then it’s time to put the drone in the air and capture all the raw content needed for your production.

Receive a Quote

After our initial consultation via phone or email, we’ll put together a comprehensive quote to meet your requirements.

PROFESSIONAL EDITING

After we complete the aerial component of your job, it’s time to hit the editing room. This is where we’ll professionally edit your images and stitch together your video footage.

Make a Booking

Once you’ve approved our quote, we’ll chat with you to make a booking for your drone job. Things we need to keep in mind include the weather, location and time of day, all of which influence the final product.

DELIVERY

Once we’ve completed editing, we’ll send you the final product in various formats via one of our cloud-based portals. Mission complete!
